Tejano Music Artist
Douglas D. Davila, a native Houstonian, was born and raised in the vibrant Southeast end neighborhood of Second Ward. Destined for a life steeped in music, his journey began at just 6 years old — captivated by the iconic sounds of Tejano music at a family backyard barbecue. It was at that moment Douglas realized he would dedicate himself to becoming part of the music he so loved.
From his early days playing trumpet in school jazz combos to performing on Texas radio, signing with BMG US Latin, and earning an induction into the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame Class of 2024 — Douglas's life has been a testament to faith, friendship, and music.
